Karnataka Makes Voting Process Easier for Senior Citizens and PwDs
Bengaluru: Karnataka Chief Minister D.K.Shivakumar had written to the Chief Election Commissioner, requesting that an adult family member be allowed to appear before the Electoral Registration Officer (ERO/AERO) on behalf of senior citizens, persons with disabilities (PwDs), sick persons and overseas voters.
Responding to this request, the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Karnataka, has issued directions to make the process easier.
The move will help voters who may find it difficult to appear in person to submit the required documents and information.
The aim is to ensure that every eligible voter in Karnataka can participate in the electoral process without facing unnecessary difficulties.
